How To Clean Your Bed From Scabies
If you're looking for a powerful, all-natural scabies treatment, you might have found your magic bullet.
Clove oil.
As scabies starts to become more of a problem around the world, and mites in certain areas become resistant to the prescription treatments, more and more studies are being done into the natural treatments available to kill this wicked little mite.
Clove oil has been consistently coming out as the top contender.
This study of essential oils showed that using clove oil for scabies was more effective than any other essential oil.
This study showed that clove oil was 100% effective at killing scabies mites, but more importantly, it was also 100% at killing permethrin resistant mites, which will be the real problem in years to come.
Does clove oil kill scabies? The answer is yes. It works.
How to use clove oil for scabies treatment
Using clove oil for scabies can be done in various ways. It is important to be careful with clove oil (and most essential oils) as they are extremely potent and can be damaging if not diluted properly with creams or carrier oils first. In fact, learning how to dilute clove oil for scabies treatment is essential before you start using it. Get it wrong and you could end up burning your skin, which will only slow down your progress.
The second important thing is to make sure you get a quality clove oil. Unfortunately with the way the world is today, there are a lot of sub-par quality health products out there today, some are even completely fake and not at all the product they claim to be. I get my clove oil on iHerb and the brand I use is this organic version, which is great and can highly recommend (if you order from iHerb, you can use my referral code ZBS600 at checkout to get 5% off :))
Finally, here are some of the more effective ways to use clove oil for scabies, and most importantly, how to do it safely:
Add some clove oil to a warm bath
Bathing is a great way to get essential oils into the skin, and one of the easier (and safer) ways for using clove oil for scabies.
Fill up a warm bath to cover up to the shoulders. Add 5-6 drops of clove oil and soak in the bath for around 20 minutes. It also helps to add some other essential oils that are also proven to kill scabies, two of the better ones being tea tree oil and palmarosa oil.
Tea tree oil was shown to be effective at killing scabies, even insecticide-resistant scabies, in this study here. The tea tree oil I used in my treatment is this one. Palmarosa oil was shown to be one of the most effective essential oils at killing scabies in lab tests in this study here. The palmarosa oil I used in my scabies treatment is this one.
I also like to add some epsom salts and some coconut oil, as both are very good for the health of your skin, but this is purely optional of course.
Add some clove oil to your moisturizer
It's very important to moisturize the skin during and after scabies treatments. Mixing clove oil into your moisturizer is a great way to kill two birds with one stone – moisturize and protect the skin while also adding some anti-scabies treatment in as well.
To use clove oil for scabies with a moisturizer, simply add a drop of clove oil to a handful of moisturizing cream. Be sure to dilute this quite well, as clove oil is very strong on the skin and can burn. I'd recommend just 1-2 drops for a full handed scoop of moisturizing cream. Also try to use a very plain moisturizer, without any fancy chemicals or fragrances. I like this one from iHerb.
Use clove oil in your anti-scabies body mask
The treatment I used when I treated my scabies was a full body mask of natural anti-scabies treatments. It contained clove oil, neem oil, tea tree oil, plus some other carrier oils and powders.
In my opinion this is the most effective scabies treatment you can find today, because it attacks the infestation from all angles, giving any mites under your skin extremely slim chances of surviving. I would highly recommend using this daily during your scabies treatment. For a full recipe and instructions on how to use it, you can check out my free guide by clicking here.
Good luck!
